World Record Fishing News 2009!

www.fishing-worldrecords.com  is the most comprehensive database in the world concerning all-tackle freshwater records – where angler’s dreams come true:
 ·   Species +5 kg in the database: 475
 ·   Species with record catch photo: 273
 
The aim of this database is to improve information exchange between sport fishermen and scientists. More precise and actual maximum size data for scientists and a guidance for angler in quest of “undiscovered” species in “undiscovered” waters. And last but not least a documentation of historical unbelievable catches which should not to be forgotten.
 
Although the fish stocks decline worldwide due to poorer environmental conditions, it seems that the majority of the species still can reach their maximum size!
